Falls Creek is the largest ski resort in Victoria, with 90 runs across 450 hectares of skiable terrain. In winter, runs cater to all abilities from gentle learner slopes to genuine expert terrain off the back of Mt McKay. The village itself is ski-in, ski-out, leave the car at the day visitor carpark.
In summer, Falls Creek transforms: the Falls to Hotham Trail, alpine MTB trails, trail running races and the Big Hill chairlift open for mountain bike shuttles. Cooler temperatures all year and a beautiful drive in through the Bogong High Plains.
Day trips work, but to make the most of it stay a couple of nights at the resort during ski season, and use Bright as your base for shoulder season alpine days.
