Park Rules
A short list of common-sense house rules so every guest gets the holiday they came for. By staying with us you agree to these, they're enforced fairly but firmly.
Quiet hours
Our caravan park rules and regulations Australia knows best start with quiet hours: 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, every night. Voices down, music off, vehicles parked. Most of our guests are here for sleep as much as adventure, so please help us protect it.
Pets
Pets are welcome in Hotham Cabins, Buffalo Cabins, Bogong Cabins and on all powered sites, subject to prior approval. Please mention your pet at the time of booking, we will not accept unannounced animals on arrival.
Maximum two pets per accommodation.
Pets must be on a lead at all times in common areas and never left unattended in or outside accommodation.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Bags are available at reception.
Excessive barking, soiling or damage may result in additional cleaning fees and a request to relocate.
Campfires
Campfires are welcome in your own portable fire pit on powered sites, strictly off the ground and contained.
No fires on Total Fire Ban days (CFA-declared). Check vic.gov.au/total-fire-bans before lighting.
BYO firewood or buy a bag from reception. Do not collect wood from the park or surrounding bushland.
Fires must be fully extinguished before bed and never left unattended.
EV charging
We do not have EV charging infrastructure on site, and charging from cabin or site outlets is not permitted. Doing so trips circuits across multiple sites and creates a real fire risk on the older sections of our network.
If we identify EV charging from a site outlet, a $40 fee per session applies and charging must stop immediately. Public DC and AC chargers are available within five minutes of the park, reception will point you to the nearest one.
E-bikes & e-scooters
Riding e-bikes and e-scooters around the park is fine at walking pace during daylight hours. Charging them from cabin outlets is not, battery fires from cheaper imported cells are a known risk we won't take inside guest accommodation. Use one of the public charging cabinets in town instead.
Smoking
All cabins, villas, the camp kitchen and amenities blocks are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside, well away from doors and windows. A $200 deodorising fee applies to any indoor smoking.
Cleaning & condition on departure
We don't expect a perfect handover, but we do expect the basics: dishes washed, rubbish bagged and in the bins, no food left in fridges. Damage above normal wear-and-tear is charged at cost. Excessive cleaning attracts a $75 standard fee.
Visitors
Day visitors are welcome between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, please check them in at reception so we know who's on the park. Overnight visitors must be added to the booking and may attract an extra-person charge.
Caravan Park Rules and Regulations Australia: Management Discretion
We reserve the right to ask any guest, visitor or pet to leave the park where these rules are breached, behaviour endangers others, or property is being damaged. No refunds apply in those cases. We try hard to give people a fair go first, but the comfort and safety of the rest of the park comes first.
