You can ride straight out of town in almost any direction. From flat, family-friendly rail trail to lung-busting alpine climbs, Bright is a cyclist’s town.

Rail trail & easy riding

The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail (100km+) runs through Bright, sealed, gentle and great for families, linking Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth and beyond.

Road cycling

• Great Alpine Road climbs toward Mt Hotham.
• The classic Bright to Harrietville run along the valley floor.
• Tawonga Gap and Mt Buffalo for the climbers.

Local tip: Hire bikes are easy to arrange in town, ask reception and we’ll point you to a shop that suits road, gravel or e-bike.
